Spa Chems & Accs

We carry a full line of Spa Chemicals and Maintenance items.  All of which are available for convenient purchase and delivery through the website. Feel free to bring us a sample of your spa water anytime for testing and maintenance advice. We are here to serve you for all of you Hot Tub needs.

Santizers:

Items used to kill bacteria and prepare the spa for safe, clean usage.  Usually Chlorine or Bromine.  When kept within proper ranges, both sanitizers mentioned have a low smell and typically will not create discomfort to the skin.  Both require maintenance and have been proven reliable when checked on a regular basis.

Balancers:

Items used to maintain pH and Alkalinity levels in your spa water.  Proper pH levels in a spa are important both to tub health and your experience in the water.  When pH is out of balance, damage to the spa is possible, but unpleasant odors or harsh feeling water can sometimes be experienced.  With Backyards custom plan, maintaining proper balances is easy.

Clarifiers:                                                                         Items used to  "clear up" your hot tub water.  Even with the best of maintenance regimens, cloudy water is a normal expectation. As needed, you will require a clarifier to return the water to a clean, sparkly appearance.  Use as needed or as part of a weekly schedule.  Clarifiers simply cause small items that would normally flow through the water to clump into larger pieces and stick in the filter.

Test Strips:

Test Strips are used to check on important levels in your hot tub water.  Namely, Sanitizer, pH & Alkalinity and Calcium Level.  These levels are the items you check during your weekly maintenance.  The strips are simply dip-sticks with a color bar to match you results against.  Typically you will get up to 1 year out of one container of test strips.

Start Up Kits:

Start Up Kits come in different sizes and with different primary sanitizers.  They give you the ability to know that you have "everything you need" to properly fill and balance your spa.  There are more comprehensive kits available and very basis kits.
