Lake Stevens HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical Services
One Family-Owned Company for the Systems in Your House
From a furnace that stops heating to a plumbing leak or an electrical problem, home repairs can require attention from several different trades. Barron Home Services handles Lake Stevens air conditioning, heating, plumbing, and electrical work, plus fireplaces and solar, so you have one company to call for a wide range of home service needs.
Dan and Vivian Barron started this company in 1972 in their family garage and ran the office from the kitchen table. CEO Brad Barron now leads our team across north Snohomish County, and we still hold to the hands-on standard Dan and Vivian set.

What Wet Winters and Hot Spells Ask of Your Systems
Wet winters keep your furnace or heat pump (a system moving heat in and out of your home) running through long stretches of cold, damp weather. Then a spell of record heat arrives, such as the late June 2021 heat dome, and a house built without air conditioning stays hot.
When we look at a heating or cooling problem, we also check ductwork, airflow, and energy use, because an isolated fix rarely solves the real problem. A heat pump or ductless mini-split (a wall-mounted unit with no ductwork) heats in winter and cools in summer, which means one installation handles winter heating and summer cooling.
Choosing the right heating system also means looking at the energy sources available to your home. Snohomish County PUD supplies electricity in this area, and Puget Sound Energy supplies natural gas to houses with gas service. If you're weighing a gas furnace against a heat pump, we compare how each one uses energy in your home before we recommend either.
Which System Needs Attention First?
Whether your house sits near North Cove Park, up on Cavalero Hill, or close to Frontier Village, you call once and we cover the job, from ductwork to water lines to the electrical panel.
We work on these systems in your home:
- Air conditioning – We install and repair cooling systems, including heat pumps and ductless mini-splits, and we check your ductwork and airflow as part of the job.
- Heating – We install and repair furnaces, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, boilers, radiant heating, and geothermal systems.
- Plumbing – We handle water heater service, drain cleaning, trenchless sewer repair (repair with minimal digging in your yard), and emergency plumbing calls.
- Electrical – We handle panel upgrades, wiring, EV chargers, and generators. Adding a heat pump or EV charger changes the load on your panel, so we look at the panel as part of the job.
- Fireplaces – We service fireplaces and check how each one works with the rest of your heating and airflow.
- Solar – We install solar systems and Tesla Powerwall battery storage, matched to your electrical panel and energy use.
If a problem touches more than one system, such as a new heat pump requiring a panel upgrade, you still make one call.
When More Than One System Might Be the Cause
If one upstairs room runs warmer or colder than the thermostat setting, the cause might sit in the ductwork instead of the furnace. In our experience, comfort complaints often trace back to airflow, which is why we look past the equipment you called about.
The same goes for a tripping breaker or dimming lights when a new appliance starts. We listen before we diagnose, explain what we find, and don't add work you didn't ask for. This means when we find a connected issue, you hear about the issue, and you decide what happens next.
What Happens After You Call
We answer calls and take online bookings at any hour, including weekends and emergencies, so a dead furnace at midnight or a flooded basement on a Sunday doesn't wait for the office to open.
After you call or book online, these steps follow:
- Listening first – Your technician asks what you've noticed before touching any equipment, then explains the findings.
- Walk-through before work – Before a repair starts, your technician walks through what will happen and why. Customers consistently mention the shoe covers our technicians wear indoors.
- Free in-home estimates – For new equipment and installation projects, we give you a free in-home estimate.
- Financing options – We offer financing options for larger repairs and installs, and you're free to reach out to our team with questions about them.
In other words, you decide on a larger job with the estimate and your financing options in front of you.
