Lake Stevens Heating Service

Taking Care of Heater Problems in Your Home

Your furnace starts, runs for four minutes, and shuts off. Ten minutes later, the same cycle begins again. By the third round, you’re deciding whether to wait for the weekend or call someone now.

Barron Home Services began as a heating company before adding electrical, plumbing, solar, and fireplace work. Our Lake Stevens heating service covers all kinds of heating equipment, and our NATE-certified technicians repair and install each.

Schedule Lake Stevens heating service by calling (360) 987-5931 or booking online, and have a technician watch the cycling before the system stops.

It was a rainy day, but Barron Heating was right on time. Andrew M. and Tyler C. did a great job. They were very professional and took the time to answer all our questions we had about operating and maintaining our new heating/cooling system.

"They may have left the house cleaner than they found it!"
Start to finish the service delivered. I got an in-person estimate by Eric and a follow up date was set. Ken and Oscar showed up and did both furnaces and both dryer vents.

Meticulous in their work. Obviously very experienced. Carefully explained what they were doing and how the boiler would operate after installation. Both men were courteous and respectful of me and my home.

Good workmanship and totally worth it. They give me peace of mind when they work on my stuff. Damien and another fella were here today and did a great job!

Sam was a great installer. We got a house wide mini split. He installed it in 1 day. He was friendly, and efficient. He answered all our questions. He was clean and even wore booties in our house.

Frequently Asked Questions About Heating Service

These four questions cover upkeep, efficiency ratings, and how different systems deliver heat. Your equipment’s manual has the final word on schedules and settings.

How Often Should I Change My Furnace Filter?

Check the filter every month, and change it whenever it looks dirty. Replace a filter at least once every three months. A dirty filter reduces airflow, which makes the system work harder and take longer to heat the house.

What Does the AFUE Rating on a Furnace or Boiler Mean?

AFUE (annual fuel utilization efficiency) shows how much of a furnace’s or boiler’s fuel becomes heat over a typical year. A rating of 90 percent means 90 percent of the fuel’s energy heats your house. Federal guidance on furnaces and boilers lists high-efficiency models at 90 to 98.5 percent, and new furnaces and boilers must display the rating for comparison shopping. Heat pumps use a different rating, since they don’t burn fuel.

How Does a Boiler Heat a House Differently from a Furnace?

A furnace heats air and pushes the air through ducts to registers in each room. A boiler heats water, which travels through pipes to radiators, baseboard units, or tubing in a radiant floor. Radiant heating warms a room from the floor or wall surfaces instead of blowing warm air.

Does a Ductless Mini-Split Heat More Than One Room?

A single-zone mini-split heats the area around its one indoor unit. A multi-zone system connects several indoor units to one outdoor unit, and each indoor unit heats its own room or area.
