Why Switch to a Tankless Water Heater?

Your water heater works fine, so why bother switching to something new when you don’t feel the need to? The fact of the matter is this: the world is switching away from tank-style water heaters, and for good reasons.

While going tankless may seem daunting at first, we’re here to tell you that it doesn’t have to be difficult or the least bit concerning. (Actually, it can save you money on your monthly bills.) Let’s take a look at tankless water heaters and why you might use one to replace your current water heater.

You Save Money Each Month

Perhaps the most immediate reason to consider switching to a tankless water heater is the savings it offers. With a tank water heater, you pay to heat a large amount of water, then you pay to keep it hot in that tank until it’s needed. Your water heater runs all night, by the way, so when you’re sleeping, you’re spending money.

With a tankless water heater, or an on-demand water heater as it’s often referred to, the device clasps around your pipes and heats water up as you need it. No massive storage tank, no constant heating cycles even when it’s not in use–just on-demand hot water that doesn’t drive up your bill.

They Typically Last Longer Than Tank Water Heaters

While there are plenty of tank water heaters with a long life expectancy, they pale in comparison to tankless water heaters. There’s simply less that goes wrong with tankless water heaters, so you aren’t left with nearly as many problems.

Tankless water heaters are also easier to maintain on your own outside of your annual maintenance schedule. These systems are more straightforward, so they’re easier to manage for homeowners.

No More Cold Showers

Sometimes it can take 15 seconds up to around a minute for most modern tankless water heaters to really kick in, so you may still have to purge a little bit of water before stepping in the shower. But the beautiful thing is: once the shower is hot, it stays that way.

So you could take longer showers than normal and still save money, just by switching to a tankless water heater. On those cold mornings where you’re not ready to step out of the steam and comfort of a hot shower, well, now you don’t have to.

Time to Make an Upgrade

Save space, money, and stop being frustrated with showers that run ice-cold at a moment’s notice. It’s time to make the upgrade your entire family can benefit from, and put some more cash in your back pocket every month at the same time.
